Three US soldiers secretly left the base in South Korea in order to go for a drink

Three US soldiers stationed in South Korea, secretly escaped from the military base in order to go for a drink. They were punished because the army violated a number of rules and restrictions related to the pandemic coronavirus.

The government blamed the Trinity in «the penetration through the hole in the fence» and violation of the travel ban in the city for insignificant reasons during the outbreak of coronavirus. All of the soldiers, whose names were not disclosed, was sent to the 94th battalion of the military police of the 19th expeditionary support command at camp Walker in Daegu, located in the Southeast of South Korea.

The soldiers were punished for not informed the command about the hole in the fence through which they left the base. According to reports, placed the command in social media, the soldiers were demoted and was required to pay 866 dollars in fines. In addition, they received 45 days restriction and extra duty.

«The wrong thing has serious consequences.» — stated in the message of the 19th expeditionary support command official page on Facebook. «Don’t risk the safety of everyone and our ability to fulfill our mission, just because you can’t follow orders.»

The military published a statement on the punishment, in order to prevent other soldiers from breaking the rules restrictions on travel outside the base and to recall the cancellation of social events — it is a necessary measure, which was introduced to prevent the spread of the virus.

Today, South Korea reported 10 600 cases COVID-19, at that time, as 8 042 patient recovered from the disease.
