Police Union township (new Jersey) warns residents about potential Scam after officers picked up asking for help a woman who was part of a large-scale fraud across the state.

Employees of Department on struggle against street crime found that a mother who stood by the road at Hilton Ave. with a sign «in God’s name» and asked the motorists money on clothes and diapers for the baby, has a purse of $500, jewelry and the new iPhone X.

«Looks like she didn’t need cash,» — said in the police post on their page in Facebook.

Law enforcement bodies started an investigation, in which it became known that the woman came to the US from Romania and now lives in Queens (new York). An immigrant told me that her and several other women landed on the roads across the state that they were engaged in begging. She was fined for obstruction of traffic. She was also summoned to court for begging without permission.

Police are asking anyone who sees suspicious people begging on the road, call 911.

«It’s nice to be a benefactor, but it is not a good idea to give money to someone standing on the roadside with a sign. If you see someone who may need help, you can call our headquarters, and our staff will respond and assess the situation», — said in the police post in Facebook.
