The world’s largest online seller , Amazon is going to build a new headquarters, and dozens of cities are doing everything possible to lure the Central office (and along with it thousands of jobs) to yourself.
Some attract beneficial conditions of construction. Others send in cute YouTube videos.
But one city in Georgia stood out especially, writes the Miami Herald. The authorities of this city have said they will build a new town, which would call Amazon.
Monday the city fathers Stonecrest, which is about half an hour’s drive East of Atlanta, voted to allocate the company-retailer of 345 acres of urban land (around 140 acres). In exchange, they want Amazon opened its second headquarters in Concrete.
«Several major US cities want to get to Amazon, but none of them there is no such proposal», — said the mayor of Stonecrest Jason Gel.
The company has a number of requirements to settlements, claiming the title of the new home for the headquarters of Amazon. The retailer will need 175 acres (70 hectares) and a major airport nearby. In addition, the company wants the city was a high standard of living, high quality public transport system and a healthy business environment.
The mayor believes that their city meets all these criteria: «we Have highly educated workers who really want to settle here».
Amazon has not yet decided on the choice.
