Survey | Majority of Americans avoid talking about their money

Life in America different from life in other developed countries. Culture, mentality, traditions, customs, unspoken rules, as for example, about the «tip»… there are certain peculiarities in the choice of topics for communication. For many Americans, money is not a topic of conversation. Moreover, they strongly avoided discussing their income or savings that easy, instead, to talk about their weight may excess.

A recent report by the Money Matters 2017, telling about the results of a survey conducted with investment app Acorns, indicates that the vast majority of Americans never discuss money. The survey was conducted among 3,000 U.S. citizens aged 18 to 44 years. The answer should have only one question: «Communication, what would you rather chose: about your weight or about how much you are saving?». 68% of Americans said that probably will choose the conversation about weight.

If we talk about men and women, then the statistics is slightly different, in view of the clear all gender systems. 72% of men chose as the topic of conversation of «weight». And only 64% of women agree with them.
