The company Disney announced Tuesday that it would pay a one-time bonus of $1,000 or more than 125,000 of its employees, and invests $50 million in various educational programs for them.
«We will pay approximately $ 125 million to our employees across the country and increase the accessibility of higher education by launching new programs,» — said in his statement, CEO Bob iger.
Such generosity of the company caused by the recent adoption of the new tax plan, according to which the corporate tax rate fell by one-third. The incentive payment will receive all regular employees working in the company full and part time as at 31 December 2017. Bonus is not available for unskilled workers. Payments will be made in two stages: some employees will receive the money in March and September.
Disney just added to the list of companies already pay their employees bonuses in the event of changes in tax legislation, among them Boeing, AT&T, Wells Fargo, Comcast, Bank of America, Walmart and others.
