According to the Wall Street Journal, the world’s largest online retailer, plans to separate the functions of the second headquarters in the two cities. The company believes that such decision will allow to employ good technicians, but will also solve many of the problems associated with moving a large number of employees from one city to another. Part of the new headquarters of Amazon can be accommodated in long island city, new York Queens.
According to sources inside the company, Amazon recently conducted a casting cities across North America and has already made the shortlist. The same sources on condition of anonymity, said that leading in the «race» crystal city (Arlington County, Northern Virginia).
In September 2017 the largest online store has attracted huge interest when announced that it would invest $5 billion in the creation of HQ2. The company plans to hire 25 thousand people for each Department new headquarters.
Now the only headquarters of Amazon are located in Seattle, where the company is the largest employer with a staff of 45 thousand employees.
