The Associated Press reports that this year the administration of the trump will offer 15 000 additional visas for seasonal workers.
Additional visas the H-2B seasonal workers are issued the non-agricultural sector. Mainly workers employed in various enterprises, including resorts. Visas will be granted to those companies that can prove that their business will suffer losses if they can’t hire temporary foreign workers.
Trump Organization is among the companies that use these visas.
Earlier this year, Congress voted to allow the Minister of internal security John Kelly to exceed the annual limit and issue more than 66, 000 such visas.
And although President trump takes a tough stance against immigrants both legal and illegal, Kelly said that the decision on visas was «a demonstration of the commitment of the administration to support American businesses.»
He described the additional visas as «single exception» to the visa limits set by Congress
