The NYPD arrested a suspect in yesterday’s attack on a mother and child on a subway.
31-year-old Anna Martinez with his year-old daughter in a stroller got on a train at the 125th street in Harlem. She sat down next to a homeless woman who started to behave inappropriately. Fearing for his daughter, Anna stood up and decided to transfer to another place. Obviously, «neighbor» didn’t like it, she lunged at Martinez and cut her left side of his face with a knife.
Passengers immediately called the police and an ambulance, while the attacker managed to escape into Grand Central. However, far it has failed – soon, the signs the woman was detained at the bus station nearby.
Martinez was taken to Bellevue hospital, she had to put around 30 stitches.
It is also reported that established the identity of the attacker. As it turned out, she was arrested more than 60 times, mostly for drugs and also for prostitution and violation of public order.
Recall, last month a girl from Brooklyn had to put 40 stitches after her face was cut attacked in train by a man. He also was homeless, temporarily living in a shelter in Brownsville for men with mental disorders and substance abuse.
