A man was collecting donations, pretending to have cancer

Police in new Jersey caught the swindler who fraudulently enticed money from passers-by. The man claimed that he had a brain tumor for what he was given donations and food.

On Thursday, officers of Hillsdale arrested 29-year-old Joseph O’connell of Washington township. He was charged with theft by deception. According to police, O’connell is not married and does not work anywhere.

Unknown persons notified the police that a man collects donations for help in the fight against a cancerous brain tumor. Anonymous suggested that the statement about the disease has nothing to do with the truth, but just a simple attempt to put pressure on pity.

After the arrest of the offender was held medical examination, which found no disease.

Before O’connell’s release, he received notice of the claim. Con should appear in Central court on Wednesday, November 1.
