Saturday 8-year-old girl killed by falling from the upper deck on the underside of the cruise ship in Miami-Dade County.
Cruise liner Carnival Glory has completed its journey, already moored at the port of Miami. Shortly thereafter, around 8:15 a.m. the accident happened. The girl was immediately hospitalized in regional trauma center Memorial hospital of Jackson, where doctors pronounced her death resulting from the fall injury.
«We understand that the child fell from a height of 20 feet or more,» — said at a press conference, a representative of the fire service Miami captain Ignatius Carroll. However, this is probably all the information which is owned by the police at the moment.
The investigation of the incident by law enforcement authorities continues, as all the details of the tragedy are not yet clear.
The identity of the girls were not disclosed.
