According to the AP, a cardboard cutout of Pope Francis in full size was stolen from a Church in new Jersey during the fundraising to those in need.

According to state police, the theft occurred on Thursday evening in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, located in Gloucester County. The details of the abduction are not known, but eye-witnesses claim they saw a cardboard figure of the Pope in the Church parked white Audi. In the car were also three elderly women, one of whom (at the age of about 70 years) was in an oxygen mask.

On Friday night, a cardboard cutout was unknown returned unharmed to its original place. Information about the purposes for which the old lady stole the image of the Pope, and their names were not disclosed by the police.
