The U.S. permanent representative to the UN , Nikki Haley on Sunday said that the administration trump hopes to keep the nuclear agreement with Iran, strengthening and improving it to «the American people feel safer.»
«At the moment we do not exit the agreement,» said Haley in an interview with NBC «Meet The Press».
«We hope that we will be able to improve the situation,» she continued. «And that is the aim. … The point is not to withdraw from the deal. We’re just trying to make the situation better, to make Americans feel safer.»
«We’re trying to say: «Look, the agreement was an incentive. The agreement was that you stopped doing certain things,» said Haley. «You have not ceased to do certain things. So, what we need to do to Iran has become more responsible?»
Also, the US Ambassador to the UN said that the current US actions are intended to relations with Iran did not develop according to the example of relations with the DPRK.
«We cannot allow Iran to become the next North Korea,» said Haley.
