On Thursday afternoon, 53-year-old Wendell Melton, Nevada, shot and killed his son Giovanni, finding his boyfriend in the apartment. Police Department Henderson said that immediately after this, the boy was brought to Dominican hospital St Rose Siena in critical condition. The shooter was arrested at the scene on charges of murder, cruel treatment of children, possession of firearms and other charges.
According to police Protocol Wendell had previously been convicted for domestic violence and he was forbidden to have firearms. The culprit claims that the gun worked by mistake during an argument with his son.

However, friends and relatives of the Giovanni don’t believe it. Friends say the young man was energetic and cheerful, «when I met him it all began to smile.» His former foster mom, Sonya Jones said that «Giovanni was subjected to physical and psychological abuse for many years.» She believes that the blame for the incident sexual orientation of the boy. She also added that Wendell was threatened by Giovanni before. «I’m sure he’d rather lose a son than to live with a gay man,» she said. «I hope they will condemn him severely. I hope that every day when he looks in the mirror, he will see the face of his son.»
