A fire in Manhattan: 6 people injured, 7 houses damaged

Sunday morning, flames destroyed the entire trading range in Inglewood, Manhattan. In order for it to extinguish, it took the efforts of 140 firefighters from 33 sites. Six of them were injured during the struggle with the elements.

The fire originated at the intersection of Thayer street and Nagle Avenue, where there are several small family shops, a diner, a Barber shop and dry cleaning. According to the fire Department, the message about the incident was received at about 10:00 at the Chinese restaurant.

The flames spread rapidly, so to put it out was not easy. Within minutes the whole block was covered with thick smoke.

While firefighters struggled with the elements, it is completely destroyed seven buildings. Fortunately, at this moment inside there were no people, so the incident did not result in casualties among the population.

The fire was brought under control at 12:42.

Fire Department reported 6 injured employees. They were all hospitalized in the medical center at the University of Columbia with minor injuries.
