On Thursday evening, Los Angeles police car knocked down five pedestrians. It is reported by CNN.
Two children died: one died on the spot, the second died at a local hospital. The victims have not been identified. The police did not mention their age, but reports that they were minors. Three pedestrians and two deputies were hospitalized. The severity of the injuries has not yet been determined. The drivers of two other police vehicles were not injured and are cooperating with police.
Police went to the scene of the shooting, where was the victim at 19:25, before he hit a pedestrian.
The situation was commented by the witness of the incident:
I was in my house when I heard the sound [of the collision]. After a few seconds I was already on the street, a few steps from the scene. When I got there, I saw covered with a white cloth the boy. The other seems to have been unconscious.
The investigation is being conducted. Authorities are trying to determine the speed of the police car and — burn red light on the traffic light, when the Sheriff entered the intersection.
