The protest has forced the largest shopping center in St. Louis, Missouri, to close for an hour in one of the busiest and profitable days of the year. But that’s not the only thing that confused the locals.

Today, 24 November, in the shopping center Galleria Mall included several dozen people chanted «No justice, no profit!». The demonstrators marched through the corridors of the Mall and went into several shops, including Dillard’s. The peaceful protest lasted about two hours.

According to the activist of Darryl gray, the demonstrators were already heading to the exit when the police pushed one of the protestors on the floor. This resulted in the reaction of other angry, which led to the scuffle and arrest several people.

«People ran to try to help, but police began to throw them away. It looked ugly,» commented a witness. Many of those present were outraged by the behavior of law enforcement.

«I can say firsthand that people today were protesting peacefully and that the police opposed and contributed to the violence… THAT’s WHAT HAPPENED,» wrote one of the visitors on his page in instagram

A member of the house of representatives Bruce Franks Jr. was among the seven arrested. The official is one of the leaders of the protest movement, which began in September after the court of St. Louis acquitted the white officer Jason Stockley, who in 2011 shot and killed a black suspected drug trafficking.
