Police had to shoot the man who attacked neighbour with a knife

Police had to shoot the man after he attacked his neighbor. He inflicted several stab wounds and continued to threaten.

Francis De Jesus, 31, is accused of attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons. He was arrested after police reported a fight on Shepherd Avenue, between Ridgewood and Arlington Ave., about 21 hours on Sunday.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw a man (De Jesus) who assaulted his neighbor. Then De Jesus ran into the apartment, came out with a knife and managed to wound a neighbor, inflicting stab wounds. The victim tried to escape, after which police shot 1 time to De Jesus, who began to harass the neighbor. The bullet hit in the lower back.

Both participants of the fight were hospitalized. As a neighbor and De jesús is currently unknown.
