The first victim on Citi Bike: during an accident in Manhattan died a successful financier

On Monday, the bus knocked to death a young man in a business suit. At the time of the tragedy, the victim was driving on 26th street in Manhattan on a Bicycle borrowed under the program Citi Bike.

The accident occurred at 8:20, when the 36-year-old Dan Hanegbi from Brooklyn heights tried to pass between the bus and a parked car. Having lost control over the bike, he fell and came under the rear wheels of the bus. The man was taken to Bellevue hospital, but doctors could not save his life at 10:15, he died from his injuries.

The deceased was a successful economist, former military, sportsman and father of two children. At the time of death, he headed the new York branch of a large financial conglomerate Credit Suisse, and last held the position of Vice-President of a famous Bank holding company Morgan Stanley.
