As we reported this morning, April 22, was made an armed attack on a restaurant Waffle House in Nashville (tn). As a result of firing on the spot, killing 3 people and another four suffered gunshot wounds. One of the wounded later died in hospital.
We now know who actually saved many of the visitors and staff of the restaurant of death, attacking the shooterwhen he was reloading his weapon.
James Shaw Jr.
29-year-old James Shaw Jr. said that he had gone to Waffle House after a party at one of the local clubs. Together with friends the guy came to himself after a busy evening when went to the cafe shooter. Releasing in visitors from the rifle the whole store, he tried to recharge it to continue shooting. At this point James realized the time to act.
«When he came in, in my head flashed the thought that he would have to tryto kill me. At some point, had a chance to stop him, and, fortunately, I took advantage of it,» — said in an interview with the young man.
According to James, he does not feel himself a hero, because in this moment not thinking about anything else except salvation. He felt cornered and decided in that whatever was to fight for life.
«We have a citizen who has been in a fight with armed criminals and was able to defeat him. No doubt, he is a true hero, and his actions today saved many lives«, commented the press Secretary of the Nashville police, don Aaron.

Even without a weapon, the offender ran out of the restaurant and disappeared. The guy who kicked the rifle from the gunman’s hand, decided not to pursue it because I suspect that he still has a gun. Police identified the attacker as 29-year-old Travis Reinking from Illinois. The suspect is wanted.
