In Tennessee 17 students and a teacher were injured during the explosion in chemistry class

May 9 experiment in chemistry class in high school Merrol Hyde Magnet in Hendersonville (tn) has resulted in injuries to 17 high school students and their teachers.

A chemical reaction got out of control and led to the explosion and fire in the laboratory. As a result of 4 students and a teacher suffered serious burns and were hospitalized. Other victims were assisted in place.

Arrived at the scene, firefighters evacuated the school and with the help of special equipment have cleared the building from chemical fumes. All classes in the school planned for the remainder of the day, was canceled.

The exact cause of PE is established, signs of a deliberate crime in the police have not yet discovered.

Merrol Hyde Magnet provides education from primary school through to senior. Today the school has 666 children.
