Shooting in Brooklyn: one dead, two wounded

Today, may 23, in a shooting on the street in Brooklyn one man was killed and two were injured. The unknown opened fire about one o’clock at the intersection of Hewes St. and S. Third St. in Williamsburg.

According to police, the victim was 19-year-old guy who got shot in the head. After the incident, he was sent to Woodhull Hospital, where doctors officially found him dead.

Another passerby, who was wounded in the shootout, got to the police station N90, which is located at the address 211 Union Ave, and asked for help. The victim was sent to Bellevue Hospital. According to doctors, the man was not dangerous to life injuries.

A third victim, a 19-year-old boy with a wound in the back was also taken to Woodhull Hospital. At the moment, his life is out of danger.

The man, who lives nearby, told PIX11 that she heard several shots. According to him, such incidents are not typical for this area, which is «very safe.»

Police are investigating murder and attempted murder on the streets of Brooklyn, linking the incident with the activities of a local gang. According to the NYPD, the shooter was not detained.
