A woman who poisoned her husband’s eye drops, 2 years ago, shot him with a crossbow

A real Thriller was played out in South Carolina — and each new detail of history is even more terrible than the previous one.

But about all under the order.

21 Jul Steven Clayton of York County was found dead in his home. His wife, 52-year-old Lana sue Clayton, told police that the man for some time suffered from dizziness, and on that fateful day, she found him lying at the bottom of the stairs.

According to officials, Lana Sue Clayton shot her husband in the head in 2016 with a crossbow while he slept. Officers said that at the time, both she and her husband told deputies it was an accident, and no intent to commit a crime was found. https://t.co/UqEV2VKA03

However, last week a woman made an unexpected confession. She stated that she poisoned the wife eye drops. Forensic examination has confirmed it. Eye drops contain tetrahydrozoline. This substance is harmless when instillation in the eye, but can cause death if swallowed a large dose. And Lana sue, by her own admission, poisoned her husband for a few days.

After the arrest of Lana Clayton police also reopened the investigation into 2016. Then Steven got from my wife… a crossbow arrow in the head and narrowly survived. Charges Lana sue was not filed because the victim (and his wife) claimed that it was a tragic accident.

Version of women, she wanted to shoot a crossbow, but she «wasn’t strong enough to charge him.» When she went into the bedroom to her husband for help, the crossbow accidentally fired. (Hence, she still managed to charge it.) Man in this time slept.

Then Stephen Clanton told officers that his wife had trouble sleeping and because of this — poor coordination of movements, which could cause shot.

Now investigators will have to check this episode. Meanwhile, Lana sue Clayton, was charged. She is in prison.
