Police say 8-year-old girl was hit by a car in Marine Park on Saturday. The accident occurred at about 6:30 PM on Avenue P and East 31st Street. The driver stopped the car and fled the scene of the crime.
According to the eyewitness descriptions of the car that hit the girl — Honda Accord 2001-2002 year of release, red. During the collision most likely the car was damaged was a broken headlight.
The child was taken to a local hospital with a head injury and is now in stable a grave condition.
The investigation continues, the driver is not installed yet.
