The woman gave birth in the toilet of McDonald’s and tried to drown the baby. The guilt she did not recognize

A resident of California, who tried to drown her newborn baby in the toilet of McDonald’s, pleaded not guilty.

In 2017, the 26-year-old Sarah Lockner worked as a cashier at the McDonald’s restaurant on Chestnut Street in Redwood city. On the evening of 4 September, a woman went to work the night shift. Behind the counter she felt sick to the stomach, and according to witnesses, she repeatedly went to the toilet. The next time Lockner was delayed, her colleague went to check if everything was okay. Upon entering the bathroom, she saw blood on the floor. Lockner explained that she had heavy menstruation and nothing to worry about. But another worker cafes alarmed by this behavior, and when Lockner again excused myself to the ladies room, she went after her.

In the toilet woman saw a shocking scene. Lockner was holding a baby boy upside down over the toilet and tried to drown him. Lockner begged colleagues not to call the police, but she still called the police. At the time of their arrival the baby was not breathing, had no pulse. In the emergency order, the baby was taken to children’s hospital Lucile Packard in Palo Alto. The kid survived.

The mother assured police that did not even know I was pregnant. 18 September 2017 she was charged with attempted murder and set bail in the amount of $11 million.

$11million bail on a fast food worker says everything about why we need bail reform. Bail is not punishment #SarahLockner (she’s a monster)

This year, January 14, Lockner again refused to admit that he tried to kill her child, and made an agreement with the investigation. Defendant offered to confess to the grievous bodily harm child under the age of 5 years, punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term up to 4 years.

The final sentence on may 3. Attorney Jonathan McDougall has refrained from commenting on the case.
