In Queens stole another bus, MTA to go

Last week a young man stole an MTA bus ride in Brooklyn and Queens. This is the third such case in recent months.

The police reported that on January 15 around 3:20 a.m. the man climbed into the empty bus which was parked near the South Road and 165th Street in Jamaica. The guy started it, stopped at a few places in Queens and Brooklyn, and three hours later, around 5 am, left the car near Conduit Boulevard and Liberty Avenue in the Cypress Hills.

Behind the wheel sat a young man, no older than 20 years, in a hoodie and dark clothes. The police have footage of the guy grins, sitting behind the wheel of a stolen bus.

According to the NYPD, on the car there is no damage and the motive of the crime is not entirely clear. Most likely teenagers so just have fun. The event was the third in a month. In the previous two MTA buses were stolen from the Bronx and Brooklyn two days before Christmas.

Currently, police are actively searching for suspects.
