Last Sunday, January 13, at memorial hospital Carilion Roanoke died on 2-year-old Stephen Dale Mick, who was on life support. It was brought here by air from LewisGale hospital, where he was on Friday with a head injury.

January 11, 911 was called and told that Christianburg on Zinc Lane a small child at home fell from bed and hit his head, silent and possibly dead. Visiting the doctors, however, found a weak pulse and took immediate measures to rescue the child. Unfortunately, the efforts of doctors were vain. But as it is now, said Virginia state police, this sad story was much worse and disgusting.
Doctors who saved the boy, told police that the child had other injuries that did not correspond to the original version of the fall from the bed. And also had traces of sexual violence.

Police arrived at the house-unit in Christianburg, where she lived the mother of the child Kyle Thomas and her friend Mackenzie to Hellman. They were arrested and taken to the regional jail in West Virginia. The pair was charged with «forcible sodomy, participation in fellatio against the will of the victim by force, threat or intimidation, the penetration of objects in a person under the age of 13, possession of child pornography». Media noted that the arrested Kyle Thomas is currently pregnant.
The chief of police of Virginia mark Sisson said: «what happened to this innocent child, can only be described as horrifying… so gross and wanton that demonstrates a reckless disregard for human life and disdain for children.»
