The police arrested the drunken driver of the car ambulance, which is transporting 77-year-old patient on dialysis, admitted two accidents.
Departed from the Parking lot, 45-year-old driver Pedro Aponte drove in one post, and then after driving less than a mile, crashed into another roadside pole.
An elderly patient, who was in the rear of the car, was injured two ribs due to admitted driver clashes.
Police found Aponte lying on the roadway of E. Greenwich Avenue next to the car which was significantly damaged. The driver also suffered serious injuries in the accident and was hospitalized. At the moment he is charged with criminal negligence, driving while intoxicated and endangering the life of the patient.
The court will consider the case Aponte after discharge from the hospital.
