Thursday in the Parking lot at Newark airport burned at least a dozen cars

The fire broke out at Newark airport Parking terminal Thursday morning. More than a dozen vehicles were engulfed in flames, vybrasyvali in the air with thick black smoke.

Firefighters rushed to put out the fire, but to save all of the machines failed.

A law enforcement source told reporters News 4 that only burned 17 cars and at least two of them burned to the ground.

The cause of the fire is still to be seen, but according to the preliminary version, the problem could be in the generator to one of the affected machines. The owner of this vehicle was detained, when he heard about the fire at the airport, he came to check the safety of your car. However, he was charged not to fire, and unpaid fines.

The men were also invalid driver’s license, but do not know blame him because he was not driving when the fire started. However, this is normal and not long term Parking and when the car has been left there is unknown.

The man told law enforcement authorities that a few weeks ago, repairing his generator, and police believe a botched repair could cause a fire.

Fortunately, nobody was injured and the airport was not hurt.

Newark airport, reported on Twitter that at the moment the Parking lot of terminal C is closed due to morning fire. If your car was parked in this Parking lot, then you need to go to terminal C and airport staff will escort you to your car.

⚠ This to the Terminal C parking garage is closed until further notice due to a morning fire on the garage rooftop. (Fire was extinguished.) If your car is already parked in this garage, please go to the Terminal C Level 1, taxi stand. Airport staff will then escort you to your vehicle.
