On Monday morning, 22-year-old man who slept in the mezzanine at the station Broadway-Lafayette in Manhattan, waking up from a sharp pain, saw the knife sticking out of his legs.

According to preliminary data plunged the knife into the back of his right thigh about 6 o’clock in the morning.

The victim was taken to Bellevue hospital center in stable condition. Despite the fact that homeless people were sleeping next to 2 women at the age of 22 and 26 years, no one noticed the attacker. After searching the station, the police also found at the scene of weapons.

The incident occurred on the platform of the 125th St station, through which pass the lines 4, 5 and 6 trains.

The victim was taken to Lower Manhattan Hospital. The attacker also still running.
