A child who is a mother in April’s throat was cut, fell during a school lunch period and died. The incident occurred at 11:40 on Friday, June 14.
27 APR on Bronx street corner 27-year-old Shanice Martin was stabbed with a knife to the throat of a boy and his 2-year-old sister with a utility knife.
Martin then threw the children, and later surrendered to the police. She came into the station covered in blood and allegedly were holding the gun. She confessed to the crime.
According to family members, the woman lives on the street, and she has issues with mental health. After the incident, she was charged with assault and threat to life of the child. She remains in custody without the possibility of bail.
But this story, unfortunately, was even more sad. On Friday, June 14, the Director of PS / MS 5 Daniel Keane sent parents letters telling them that their student «died» after he fell unconscious during dinner.
As reported in police, the student, the personal data of which were not disclosed, was found unconscious in the crowded school cafeteria.
He was transferred to the NYC Health + hospital Lincoln, where he was declared dead. The medical examiner needs to determine an official cause of death. Source Post reported that the wound caused to the child in the neck in April, not completely healed.
According to a school employee, it was the second day the boy at PS/MS 5 Port Morris.
Fifth-grader Jason Nunez said that the boy «was having lunch, and suddenly he just lost consciousness.»
«He hit his head. Blood flowed from his mouth,» said Nunez.
