A police officer from Louisiana was bitten by a alligator. Reptiles jaw unclenched a few people

American alligator about 5 feet long, attacked Deputy Sheriff, Louisiana, when he tried to remove the reptile from the backyard of the residents of Luling.

The incident occurred this past Monday. As noted in the reports of the officers, the capture of the reptile was so powerful that the other cops who arrived on the scene had to separate the jaws of the alligator to release the hand of the victim.

According to the St. Charles Herald Guide, the assistant Sheriff of St. Charles parish and the officer who responds to calls about an unwanted animal (causing inconvenience or being a nuisance) answered the call to a home in Luling, where he saw the alligator wandering around the back yard.

When police arrived at the scene, they indeed found the 5-foot American alligator. One of the deputies tried to hold the reptile while trying to wrap his mouth with duct tape, but he was able to break free. The alligator managed to bite the man’s hand before his partner jumped on the reptile on top.

After that the police officers all together they were able to unclench the jaws of the reptile to release the arm of the victim. The wounded officer was taken to medical center of the University Medical Center in Louisiana, where he received help. As it turned out, he had several punctures and deep wounds in his right hand. A policeman received medical treatment and later released.

The name of the victim Deputy Sheriff to the media not reported. A representative of the Sheriff’s office, James Grimaldi stated that they expect that the officer will fully recover.

As for the main culprit of incident – the alligator – it was taken from the backyard of concerned residents and returned to his natural habitat.
