Wednesday morning, the Sheriff’s office Marion County (Florida) entered 22-year-old Colby Glen Lara from Olavi, stating that he wanted to make a confession. Then the man said that the night he killed his mother, his dog and set fire to the family home.
At the time of his arrest, firefighters had to deal with a building engulfed by fire. When, after 3 hours, the flames finally extinguished, and inside found the body of Angela Limbaugh is at least partly confirmed the words of her son.
Lara said that before the incident, I watched a video on YouTube, which he was overcome by paranoia: a man was haunted by the idea that someone wants to rape or hurt the mother. Then, according to the documents of the case, the suspect armed with a 9mm semiautomatic pistol and decided to inspect the house «people who would want to hurt the victim.»
Yet, he was «the search,» went all the way down Limbaugh and son shot twice in her head. After that, says Lara, he killed his bulldog two more shots, set fire to the mattress to start a fire, and, across the boating lake, went to the house living nearby Christina West.
A woman who heard the shots from the house of limbo and were at that moment outside with his two sons, was instantly suspicious.
«We asked who he was doing here, why he came to our property. — says Christina in a conversation with the Click Orlando — He was named after Colby and said that trying to understand what in my life went wrong. He seemed absolutely indifferent, no trace of emotion.»
After the sons of the West drove Lara from the ground, the suspect through the woods headed to the Sheriff’s office for recognition. In conversation with the detectives, he continued to insist that «killed his mother, trying to protect from people who were going to come to the house and to harm her.»
According to the authorities, Lara has no priors in the past, and at the time of the crime he was not under the influence of alcohol or under the influence of drugs. Find out exactly what the video the man was watching before the crime has not yet succeeded.
Lara was charged with murder and arson in the first degree. Now he is in the Marion County jail without bail.
