On Saturday afternoon, July 6, on a highway in Franklin County (GA) there was a terrible collision of an SUV and at least two cars, which took the lives of 7 people. According to the local Sheriff, the accident was «one of the worst» spectacle that he had ever seen over the years.
The incident occurred on Interstate 85, about 80 miles northeast of Atlanta near the state border with South Carolina. According to police, heading North Ford Excursion suddenly crossed the dividing line and went out to meet the cars moving South. He crashed into a Chevrolet van, and then he touched the third vehicle — a Ford E350, and the wreckage of the crashed cars scattered in all directions, damaging two more cars.
All four occupants of the Chevrolet, died at the scene. Three passengers Excursion, including three children, also died, three wounded. All three survivors — children; one of them in critical condition. Ford E350 no casualties.
At the moment the authorities find out what caused Excursion to go to another lane. The names and ages of the victims has not been disclosed, but it is known that Chevrolet had four Hispanic males.
