A tiny baby was found wrapped in a t-shirt with a note on the doorstep the apartments in the complex of willow-Ki in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday. On a torn piece of paper reads: «I gave birth to him in the bathroom. His father tried to kill us. Please keep it secret and take him to the hospital. His father is a very dangerous man. I’m so sorry. I tried to wash and feed.» The note said that the child was born on 19 July that the author of the note calls «yesterday.»

Althea brown, the threshold of which left the newborn, said that he was shocked to learn from a neighbor about a child left on her doorstep when she was at work. She told 6 News, «I don’t know the neighbor or not, or it was someone who decided to use this place as your refuge».
Clive Petgrave, who lives in the complex, said, «My neighbor said she was in the kitchen making Breakfast and heard a baby crying».

The police took the newborn to the Children’s hospital. Arnold Palmer said that he is healthy. Authorities said they were still looking for his mother, to try to figure out if it’s safe, and check its condition.
The law of the state of Florida «Safe Haven» allows people to legally abandon their babies in designated places, including hospitals and fire stations without anonymity and without punishment. Since the law was passed 19 years ago, 310 of the children was lawfully given to hospitals and fire stations, and 63 were illegally abandoned, said former fire chief in Oviedo Lars white.

Police Sergeant Orlando Eduardo Bernal said that the mother broke the law, leaving the child in the stranger’s apartment instead of a hospital or fire brigade. He said: «In this case, it can be neglect of a child. In more serious cases when a child is injured or dies, this can lead to unintentional murder. It’s all very serious. We’re talking about a one-day baby who can’t take care of myself.»
