In Brooklyn the MTA driver heroically saved a suicide in the subway

On Monday afternoon, Eric Bojo sat at the controls of the G-train in Brooklyn. Approaching the station, Fulton street, he noticed that the people on the platform actively waving their hands. First, Bojo thought they were just having fun. Then 59-year-old man looked down and saw in the ways of a woman.

Within a few seconds, he turned in time to apply the brakes and stop about 75 feet from her. He opened the door of his cabin, and she pointed out that wants to come up. Bojo together with other people on the platform helped her to her feet. The woman was taken to the district hospital.

Ashley Silverstein photographed the incident when it unfolded. She spoke exclusively with witnesses. Silverstein was with her boyfriend on the platform, and he was one of those who actively yelling and waving of Boyo.

The operator is convinced that if the people on the platform waving to him, all would have ended tragically.

Ashley believes Erica Bojo hero. She says watching him in action when he very kindly treated the woman, was really cool.
