A glass panel falling from the 15th floor of the Hilton hotel, located in times squarecould cost lives of the passengers of the new York taxi rear window which was broken by a strong impact. But, fortunately, all has managed.

“Thank God no one was hurt. If it was a normal working day, it could be very bad for all the people who pass and pass here at this time. Lucky it happened on a day like today,” said Manny Moroco, the driver of the taxi.

The incident occurred on Monday, July 3, at about 16:41. In addition to yellow cab, the panel has damaged the rear window of another car. No one was injured.

“As soon as I dropped the passenger suddenly collapsed single piece of glass, and then collapsed even more. They hit my car. I thought it was hail because of the rain,” said Arifur Rahman, who was behind the wheel.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers blocked off traffic portion of West 41st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue.

The reason due to which the glass fell, is not yet clear. The incident is still under investigation by the new York Department of building.
