House for Charles Ennis, standing on a hill in Los Feliz with stunning views of Los Angeles is the fourth, last and largest house of the «textile blocks«, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1920-ies.

The inspiration for the creation of the urban mansion was Maya architecture. Concrete blocks, of which was built the house was cast on the spot in the forms for the project Wright. A distinctive feature of the house is a relief decoration with symmetrical patterns, which are repeated both in the exterior and in the interior of the building. Inside and outside, all the attention to detail: columns, stained glass Windows, vintage furniture and marble floors lend the luxury of this city fortress, which like carved out of stone.

In addition to its architectural value, the Ennis house has become a recognizable building in popular culture. In 2011 the house was sold to billionaire Ron Berkle for 4.5 million dollars on the condition that he would be open to the public at least 12 days a year.
