Police in Washington state has published a shocking video of a school bus, which, according to them, was ruled by a drunk female driver.
As reported to police, 48-year-old Katherine the post was in a condition of strong alcoholic intoxication, when carried students on September 12 in Longview (Washington state).
In the video, hear the children shout in panic to the bus, which a few times slipped on a red signal of the traffic light.
«I’m crazy! – heard the voice of the post. – I am absolutely crazy!».
One of the boys who got off the bus, ran home and called 911.
«We just got off the bus, me and my friend. And the bus driver, Catherine, she was drunk — the child says to the 911 dispatcher. — She ran three red traffic lights. In the cabin there are still children. Katherine… she just staggering».
That day the post delivered to 90 students. She was arrested and charged. According to officers, a woman came a strong smell of alcohol.
The school district stated that since the accident, has introduced a new security procedure, so it is better to check bus drivers.
«In the public schools of Longview safety of our students and staff is a priority, said Rick Parrish, communications coordinator of the school district. – When we complete the investigation of the incident, immediately notify the public about the results».
The post fired. It is known that she worked as a bus driver for over a year, and previously she had no such incidents. She will stand trial in two weeks.
