Caught on video: the driver of the truck threw the burning debris that led to the fire in Los Angeles, in which two were killed

Determining the cause of any fire usually takes some time, but this does not apply to a fire that broke out in calimesa (CA) on Thursday, October 10, in which 2 people died and destroyed more than seventy homes.

Shot by an eyewitness, Sean Melvin, footage shows how the driver of smoldering garbage CR&R dropped a pile of burning garbage on the roadside.

According to Melvin, he immediately realized the impending danger due to dry, wet and windy conditions, so he tried to warn the driver about the need to dispose of burning garbage.

«I begged him, «don’t stay here. If you have a fire it will ignite… anywhere but here»,» recalled Melvin, telling ABC7.

He added that the driver of the truck, it seemed, was a blank stare in that moment.

«He honestly said, «I don’t know what to do, what would you do?» and then he followed the Protocol, throwing garbage, if it is,» said Melvin.

Given the damage caused by this action, the fate of the driver remained unclear.

«We pinpointed the cause, but we find out, will brought any criminal charges,» said riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco.

Within a few minutes the fire quickly spread n 800 acres (3.2 m sq km), destroying 76 homes and killing 89-year-old grandmother Lois Arvidson and another resident, whose name is unknown.

«My husband talked to her on the phone, and her phone is turned off, said CES Turner, the daughter Arvixe. She had told him about the smoke and everything, and it was then that the connection was broken».

Two other forest fires also broke out in riverside County on Thursday.
