Russian woman, 22-year-old Elizabeth Dubrovin, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the brutal murder of his sister, which she dealt 189 stab wounds and squeezed his eyes.
The massacre occurred on the night of February 24 when the younger sister of convicted 17-year-old Stefania Dubrovin, and her boyfriend, 42-year-old Alexey Fateev, celebrated defender of the Fatherland Day. Elizabeth came to visit the pair and asked the man to leave her alone. At this moment, when the artist left the apartment for alcohol, older sister lashed out at Stephanie.
«Due to personal hostile relations, the defendant struck the sister no less than 189 times with a knife in her vital organs and cut off her right ear, the statement says the city Prosecutor’s office. The victim died at the scene from multiple wounds and loss of blood.»
Fateev told investigators that he found the naked body of Stephanie and didn’t allow the criminal to escape. Elizabeth herself claims not to remember what happened that night.
Both girls were raised in the orphanage, because the mother beat them and deprived her of parental rights. Elizabeth was forced psychiatric treatment, but it was recognized as sane.
The Prosecutor stated that Elizabeth «mocked his sister,» and «copied the image of their younger sisters — the same color hair, the same [colour] lipstick».
«There are photos of the two sisters hugging each other, but there is no doubt that the older sister was jealous of her younger,» said the Prosecutor.
Aunt sisters Ekaterina Dubrovina called the death of Stephanie «shocking tragedy».
45-year-old St. Petersburg showman and a former member of the group «Leningrad» Stas Baretsky, who knew the sisters, said that a prison sentence was too harsh.
«I hope that the decision will be reconsidered because I believe that it is not my fault,» he said.
