Meeting of two police officers over the fact that they foiled a robbery of a restaurant in Kentucky.
Chase and Nicole McCone serve as police officers in Elizabethtown and have been married for six months.
Last Saturday night they went out to a restaurant «Raising Cane’s». When the pair had dinner, by a man entered wearing a mask and approached the counter.
«I think we both saw it simultaneously,» said Nicole at the press conference.
At first she thought that the man might be ill, given the flu season, but soon realized that the mask he was wearing for another reason.
According to Nicole when she and her husband saw the gentleman behind the counter raised his hands, both of them realized what was happening.
The officers drew his gun and approached the robber, who then ran out of the house. Spectacular footage was caught on a surveillance camera.
The pair continued to chase the attacker several quarters and held at gunpoint until the police arrived Louisville and was not arrested would-be robber.
According to the couple, they have simultaneously triggered the officer’s instinct.
«We looked at each other as if asked: «what Happens is what I think? OK, let’s go then,» said chase McCone.
«The case has touched people’s lives, and I’m sure any other officer would have done exactly the same,» added his wife.
The suspect (name not yet released) is now in custody in Louisville.
