The 911 dispatcher was suspended after he decided not to send assistance to the stroke victim

Cincinnati service Manager 911 was temporarily suspended from her job for not sending aid to a man who suffered from a stroke.

City Manager Patrick Tavern owl expressed outrage at the situation in an email to the city Council. He called the act of the dispatcher «serious neglect of duties.»

«What happened on the night of January 12, a terrible tragedy.»- writes the Tavern. «It is not clear if a man or died, but the actions of this Manager has not allowed us to know it.»

In his letter to the Tavern reported that a resident of the district the College hill in Cincinnati, Ohio called 911 in order to seek help, as his neighbor living on the other floor of the residential complex, had a stroke and he needs help. The dispatcher answered, the caller must go to the victim to ask a few questions, after which he said that people probably will not agree. The Manager responded that «we cannot impose on him» and the victim himself must want to be helped. The conversation lasted eight minutes, while calling people not hung up.

The next day, 911 dispatchers got a call from the same residential complex where it was reported that people in need of «medical emergency» the day before, died. Emergency center, where he worked as Manager, began investigating the incident. The investigators found that the Manager had provided sufficient evidence for the direction of appropriate assistance, but he decided not to.

To date, the Manager suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
