10-year-old girl who spent hours sewing masks for nurses, died in a tragic accident with a Quad bike

10-year-old girl who spent countless hours to sewing masks for health care workers in the state of Texas, died in an accident on an ATV.

As reported by KTXS channel, last Friday as a result of the accident killed lexi Brooke Collins of Mandela (Texas). Authorities have not released additional information, including whether lexi passenger ATV.

In the obituary of the fifth-grader says she was «unique, extraordinary and truly one-of-a-kind».

She began sewing in early childhood and recently donated hundreds of handmade masks staff Anson General Hospital. In photos posted to Facebook on April 6, a group of nurses proudly wearing bright yellow masks, made for them, lexi.

The mother lexi, grandma, aunt and uncle are all doctors, so her donation was particularly appropriate.

«Lexi was a great kid. She was bright, talented, wise beyond his years. She was a beautiful soul, and on the face always shone with a smile,» said city Council member Mandia Karen Logan.

Lexi’s funeral was held Monday afternoon, April 20. All participants wore masks and comply with social distancing.

To honor the memory of fifth-grader, people wrapped with turquoise ribbons around trees at home family Collins. Turquoise was a favorite color of lexi.
