Police in Chicago are warning residents of the South district of Bronzeville on the armed robberies.
Series of robberies occurred from approximately 3 to 28 June. In each case a group of three to nine people surrounded the victims on the street, in car parks or in the doorways of homes and took away valuables and money.
In the most recent episode, which occurred on the evening of June 28, gun the victim of the attack threatened the boy, who looked to be about 6 years old, he told police. The other suspects are described as boys under the age of 20 years.
The robbery happened at such addresses:
- In 19.57 28 June in the 0-100 block East 29th;
- At 18.00 on June 26 in the 2900 block of South King;
- At 16.10 on 9 June in the 0-100 block of West 30th;
- At 21: 30 on June 8 in the 2900 block of South King;
- At 20.30 June 7 in the 2900 block of South King;
- At 16.45 on 7 June in the 2900 block of South Indiana;
- At 22.30 on June 4 in the 2600 block of South Michigan;
- At 18.00 on 4 June in the 2700 block of South Indiana;
- At 14.15 on June 4 in the 2900 block of South Michigan;
- At 21.00, June 3 at 2900 block of South Michigan;
- At 15.00 on June 3 in the 2900 block of South King.
