Unknown man on Sunday night committed suicide by jumping from the Williamsburg Bridge in East River. The incident took place around 1.40 nights. The man was about 50 years. At the scene was caused by a police patrol. Officers of the NYPD Harbor Unit pulled the man out of the river and was immediately taken to Woodhull Hospital. However, doctors were unable to save him, death was pronounced at the hospital.
The identity of the suicide were not disclosed. Investigators are studying different versions of what happened, however, inclined to think that the man is still alone «took his own life.»
This is not the first case of suicide on the Williamsburg Bridge. Annually attempt to commit suicide dozens of people and, unfortunately, the vast majority of them are unable to save.
