Four men posing as immigration officers, in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) knocked the man to the ground and robbed him. The incident took place earlier this month.
The NYPD reported that 25-year-old victim was riding his bike near Johnson Avenue and Humboldt Street on July 11 at 10 PM. On his way there, four men (all aged around 20 years) and told him to get off the bike. Unknown showed the documents – as it seemed to the victim, identification with a silver shield and claimed to be immigration officers.
Three of the men came out of the gray van and forcibly pushed the victim to the ground, taking his wallet. Then one of the criminals took out a purse of $ 60, and the empty wallet back to the victim.
Police managed to confiscate the video from the street surveillance camera, which recorded the time of the attack. The suspects currently remain at large.
