In Midtown, an elderly man knocked down the truck

Today at about 05:45 in Manhattan’s Chelsea , the driver of the truck owned by Penske Truck Leasing, brought down 73-the summer man. It happened when the latter was crossing the street at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 25th Street.

Behind the wheel of the truck sat a 60-year-old Sidney Jones. Remaining at the scene, he waited for the police. Arriving law enforcement officers found that the action of a driver’s license Jones was suspended 26 years ago. He was arrested.

Driver’s license Jones, which he received in new Jersey, ceased to be valid in 1991, after he failed to appear in court in Orange County, new York.

In 2002, the Seneca County courthouse he was convicted of driving a vehicle. Then Jones had to pay $200 as punishment for the offense.

The injured man suffered a severe head injury. He was taken to Bellevue hospital, where he died. At the moment his name is still unknown, but there is information that he was homeless.
