The teenager, who was killed during training, will save the lives of others

16-year-old Joshua Mileto, a pupil Sachem High School East, was on the preseason camp in a sports camp. On Thursday morning, he and several players performed an exercise in dragging logs, which actually was part of the telephone pole. But sports equipment slipped and crushed teenager. The boy died from a severe traumatic brain injury.
His relatives said that the bodies were donated to a donor service.

This exercise with heavy log was drawn from the program of training of the Marines and officers. His technique is complex and requires careful control.

A parent of one of the players, Stephen Doucet, says Joshua Mileto was the best friend of his son.

«He grieves. Joshua was one of his best friends. These things are too heavy for children. Some adults can’t handle this exercise, and they say to run it for 13-17-year-olds,» says Doucet.

A farewell ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 9:30, in the Roman Catholic Church St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Relatives are asked not to bring flowers but instead to make donations to the memorial scholarship Fund named Joshua Mileto.
