Do you know what it means to be «born in a shirt»? I’m willing to bet that most of us only vaguely represent the meaning of this expression. You can not say about Doug Bergeson from Wisconsin. Man, making repairs in his house, accidentally fired the nail gun right in my heart. The nail ricochets off the wooden surface. The man tilted his head to see what happened and saw that his chest sticks out about one inch 3-inch nail, but he felt surprisingly normal. «I felt good and was not worried about the injury. I didn’t feel any pressure or bleeding. At the same time, I saw the nail moves with every beat of my heart,» says the man.
After the incident, the victim, as if nothing had happened, took a shower, got in my truck and went to the hospital. When the car was parked, Bergeson felt the pain and asked the security guard of the medical center to help him. Needless to say that his life is in this moment «hung in the balance»?
X-rays showed that the tip of the nail was within 1/16 inch from the main artery.
Despite a severe injury on June 25, a man was in the hospital for only 2 days and this week the 52-year-old Doug Bergeson ready to get back to work. A nail left on his body only a bruise and a small hole that was overgrown.
«It was an amazing experience,» says Bergeson about the incident.
