On Monday, about 11:50, two men that were washing Windows outside of a tall building in Midtown, were in a «trap» – stuck at 35-th floor.
It happened because the chance of malfunction of the liftby which the cleaner is raised to the desired height. The device hung at an angle.
The 36-storey building, outside of which they are stuck, is located at the address 900 Third Avenue, near East 54th Street.
To help them have left several firefighters and employees of the NYPD. After about half an hour men were already safe.
In order to be able to get inside the building, had to smash one of the Windows, said Danny Glover, a representative of the Fire Department of new York. As a safety net made belts, lowered from the roof.
The injured were offered medical help, but they had refused.
